Definitely not! Although this is a concern I have heard many times, it is most definitely not the only reason wedding garments are moved on! In fact, I have found that divorce is one of the more uncommon reasons for donation, while most garments are donated for a range of other possibilities. Some of the more common reasons that I have encountered are; The next generation does not want to wear the garment when they get married, and therefore the donor doesn't feel the need to keep it any longer. Lack of storage. Some people simply do not want to store their garment for years following their special day. Deceased estates. People decide to love and let go. Many people donate their wedding garments because they want someone else to have the opportunity to wear and enjoy them as much as they did. And most importantly, I believe it is important to remember that wedding outfits are worn on a day all about celebrating love.
